A 1st-generation U.S. immigrant, Kalid raps about his experiences and the struggles he's had to endure in a country that doesn’t accept him. His latest solo endeavor, ”2broke2die,” was made out of a bitter frustration with himself and the situation he was born into. Kalid is also a revered visual artist having created the track’s cover art himself. The art piece was featured in the Texas Visual Artist Association exhibition in 2015. Kalid hopes that his music can provide comfort to anyone dealing with adversities similar to his own.
